The Anjuman-I-Islam was established in the year 1875 with the objective of promoting educational, social, economic and general welfare of the community. Its activities span across the field of education and social work.

Anjuman-I-Islam's Abdul Azim Khatkhatay English Secondary School is one of the Institutes running under its management. The School was established in the year 1997 and imparts school education at Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary levels i.e.:- from Nursery to Std X. It is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education (SSC board).

The School is located at Vashi, Navi Mumbai. In addition to the regular subjects offered by the SSC Board, stress is laid on the all-round development of students.
