ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

            As rightly said by Charles de Lint, “ Don’t forget no one else sees the world the  way you do . So no one else can tell the stories that you have to tell .”

            With the same view , the essay writing competition for the year 2014-15 was organized in Anjuman-I-Ismlam’s  A.A.K English Secondary school hall . The English teacher students from Std. V to X participated in this competition whole heartedly. The students were divided into 2 groups. Group I ( Std. V to VII) and Group II ( Std. VIII to X)  The topic for Group I was “ International year of importance of family-farming “ while that for Group II was “ International year of small Island Developing States.”

             The students were given  one and half hour time to pen down their thoughts and ideas. The objective of this competition was to create awareness among the students about the issues around the world and to faster deeper understanding among the students about these relevant topics. From each standard one student was selected who was further sent for the inter-anjuman competition.
